Fodor’s Travel, the well international known tourist guidebook publisher has featured Uganda on its annual Go List as one of the best 52 destinations to visit in 2019. On this list there are only four African countries and Uganda is part of them.
This news has been well received by the Uganda Tourism Board which has even issued a press statement on December 10. As part of Uganda’s inclusion on the Go List, an in-depth feature on the destination will be published on the Fodor’s website later in 2019, the statement reads in part.
Fodors has joined a list of top travel authorities that have been endorsing Uganda among the best travel destinations in the past years. These include the Lonely Planet that put Uganda on its list in 2012 and the Rough Guides that also endorsed Uganda in 2016.
The Fodor’s website is published within the United States. and reaches more than 4.7 million readers worldwide. Writer Kristy Alpert, who visited Uganda in May 2018, urges Fodor’s readers to discover unparalleled wildlife experiences in the Pearl of Africa, adding that the country’s mountainous terrain, soaring waterfalls, and amazing wildlife encounters set it apart from the rest of the continent.
