I use it and think it is a must if you want to speed up your download speed and if you deal with a number of big downloads. Apart from this, you can set via "Options" => "Settings" => Monitoring to "capture" downloads in Firefox, I.Explorer 6-9, Netscape 6 - 9, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, SeaMonkey & Opera browsers. That means if properly set up, the download manager automatically takes up the downloads from those browsers. Firefox Portable's download folder can also be set via the shown button. You then simply get them from the target download folder of FDM.
