Best Free Software 14: Wise Disk Cleaner 7 to clean up your PC

If you live in a home, you will note that whether you like it or not, you have to clean it and arrange or re-arrange things now and then. A PC is no different. As long as you use it for different tasks, including the internet, it accumulates junk and also gets files getting scattered around the hard drive, which contribute with time to slowing it down.

So you need to set aside some time to do some tidying up. Wise Disk Cleaner helps you do this, quite thoroughly and fast by finding and removing temporary files and other junk and with the Disk Defrag tool (see screenshots above), accessible via one of the tabs re-arranges files scattered around.

A wizard helps you do most of the tasks if you are a beginner, but you have more advanced modes. You can also do the tasks manually or use the available scheduler to determine when and how often they can run. I use my PC quite a lot and so make sure I clean it up & run the Disk Defrag at least one a week.

Alternatives

There are quite a number of FREE alternatives, though I just noted Ccleaner has an inbuilt registry cleaner, which this one does not have, but a separate one (Wise Registry Cleaner) . On the other hand, Wise Disk Cleaner has an inbuilt Disk Defrag(mentation tool), which Ccleaner does not have. So you have to make compromises. The good thing is there are good free versions of all these tools, like Autologics Disk Defrag or “Defraggler” from the makers of Ccleaner.
